Fighter Information

Before you ever fight in the FLA cage you need to be medically cleared and licensed in the province you will be competing in, Here you will find information on fighter medical requirements and licensing for fighting in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Fighters who are licensed and ready to fight will take priority over those who are not ready to compete.

First Time Fighter:

Complete bloodwork and attach all reports. All listed items required:
• Blood Count CBC, Differential
• Coagulation Time INR – Differential, PTT
• Fasting Glucose
• Hemoglobin A1C
• Hepatitis B Screening: *Surface Antigen, *Core Antibody & *Surface Antibody
• Hepatitis C Screening
• HIV Screening
• Serological
• Is there any evidence of syphilis? Yes _____ No _____ If ‘yes’ please describe condition:

 

EKG – Copy of report required
Chest X-Ray – Copy of report required
Eye Exam by Optometrist or Ophthalmologist – Copy of report required

Annual Bloodwork: (Test results must be dated within 1 year of the upcoming fight date)

EKG – Copy of report required (EKG required one time until fighter turns 30. 30 to 40 years of age an EKG is required every 2 years. After 40 years old an EKG is required every year.)

Eye Exam by Optometrist or Ophthalmologist – Copy of report required (Required once a year. Date of the exam must be within 1 year of the fight date.)
